The attempted landing turned crash happened at the airport located on South Forge Road in Palmyra around 9:30 a.m., emergency dispatchers say.
The pilot appears to have been aiming for a grassy strip, but misjudged it— hitting the top of a car with its landing gear, according to fire officials from Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company who were at the scene of the crash.
The pilot suffered a minor injury but the two people in the car were uninjured, according to fire officials.
Only the plane's landing gear was damaged and the car sustained minor cosmetic damage, fire officials say.
The FAA continues to investigate this crash.
